Land Grading & Site Prep in Gainesville, FL

Clearing gets the vegetation off. Site prep makes the land buildable — pads leveled, driveways cut, water moving away from where your slab is going instead of under it.

From Cleared Ground to Build-Ready Site

Most people hire clearing and site prep as one package, and that's how it should be done — the machine that grubs your stumps is already sitting on the dirt that needs shaping. We take parcels from raw and overgrown to a finished, compacted pad your builder, shed dealer or mobile home installer can start on immediately.

Drainage Is the Whole Game on Flat Sandy Land

Alachua County land is flat, and flat land doesn't forgive lazy grading. A pad set an inch low collects every summer thunderstorm; a driveway cut without a crown ruts into a mud lane by August. We grade with the water in mind — positive slope off the pad, swales where runoff needs a path, and culverts sized so the driveway doesn't dam the ditch. Getting this right during clearing costs a fraction of fixing a flooded pad after the slab is poured.

Common Site Prep Packages

New home on acreage: clear and grub the building envelope, pad built and compacted, driveway with culvert, remaining acreage mulched. One mobilization, one price.

Mobile or modular home: cleared footprint, leveled and compacted pad to your installer's spec, access for the delivery rig.

Barn or workshop: pad plus the apron and turnaround graded so trucks and trailers can actually get to it in the wet season.

Grading & Site Prep FAQs

Do you work from my builder's site plan?

Yes — give us the site plan or survey and we set the pad location, elevation and dimensions to it. We're happy to coordinate directly with your builder or installer.

Can you bring in fill dirt?

Yes. Fill, limerock and crushed concrete sourced and priced into the quote, delivered, spread and compacted in lifts.

Do I need an engineer for a house pad?

For most single-family pads, no — your builder's spec covers it. Sites with significant fill or in flood-prone areas may need engineered compaction; we'll flag it honestly if yours does.
